Ky-Mani Marley was born in Falmouth Jamaica on 26th February 1976 is one of most famous and rich Reggae singers. In the cult film of the same name Shottas he starred opposite Wyclef. Ky-Mani was signed to Shang Records for his 1996 debut album Like Father Like Son album and singles like Judge Not (with Patra), Dear Dad", (which was the most popular song on the British reggae album chart),"Who the Cap (remix), Sensimelia and others all contributed to the rising recognition for the new reggae of his generation. In 1997, Ky-Mani teamed up with Praswell (Fugees) to record Avenue an acclaimed cover from Eddy Grant's Electric Avenue. Marley was the first artist to perform at Midem, an international music showcase which was held in Miami. Marley performed at the Cameo Theatre which was live broadcast to other 36 countries. Marley's name was soon the focus of a bid war. In 1997, the singer agreed to sign a deal with Gee Street/V2 Records and completed an album in collaboration with P.M.
